Customers praise ASOS for using models with ‘real’ bodies showing stomach rolls and stretch marks

Shoppers have hailed ASOS as 'refreshing' for using unedited pics of bikini models

SHOPPERS have praised ASOS for using un-airbrushed angles of models showing stomach rolls and stretch marks in their swimwear collection.

Fans of the e-tailer are impressed with the brand’s models, saying it’s “refreshing” to see “real bodies” modelling clothes.

Fans have taken to social media in support of ASOS, who have used un-edited snaps for their bikini range.

Sharing an image of a woman modelling a purple bikini, where you can see her natural stomach rolls as she’s sat down, one woman tweeted: “Thank u ASOS for these angles.”

Her tweet has racked up more than 16,000 likes, with people agreeing it was high time clothing brands showed all poses - even the unflattering ones.

One person commented: “The point is you can be skinny and still have a tummy. As someone with a jacked up body image it’s nice to see.”

Another said: “Omg, the real angle of the skinny body, this is real fantastic.”

A third said: “Women with actual healthy human bodies *mind blown*.”

And sharing another swimwear shot, this time of a woman in a blue bikini, a fellow Twitter user said: “Saw this on ASOS and found it soo refreshing.

“Other than the inclusion of ‘plus size’ models It’s also very important to show realistic images of women’s bodies, including skinny women.

“Your stomach having rolls when you sit is perfectly normal even when it’s ‘flat’.”

And not just women, but people are also championing ASOS showing “real men” too.

Sharing photos of two men in plus-size clothing, one man said: “Real men with REAL bodies too.

“The real truth is majority of us do look like this.

“Women have seen progress in their representation, I’m just glad ASOS is changing that.”

Another e-tailer, PrettyLittleThing, took Aintree by storm with six women wearing the same dress.

And a millionaire matchmaker has revealed the seven types of shoes women should never wear.

Plus this ‘skinny dipping’ bikini is the latest trend to take over beaches and promises no more dodgy tan lines.
