WEDDED DISS

Snobby wedding guest slams newlyweds’ ‘pathetic’ buffet, featuring unwrapped ‘plastic cheese’ and orange wedges with stickers on

Members of a Facebook wedding shaming group were baffled at the selection of food

WEDDINGS are expensive, but it seems one thing you probably shouldn't skimp on is the food.

Posted on a snobby Facebook wedding shaming group, one pair of newlyweds have been slammed for serving up a "pathetic" spread.

"A wedding feast for your eyes," the anonymous guest said.

Photos showed a rather bizarre buffet selection, including unwrapped "plastic cheese", trays of celery and carrot sticks, melon, badly-chopped oranges and a rather messy selection of iced brownies.

Fellow users were appalled at the buffet, with several calling it "pathetic"

One even likened it to food served at kids' parties, explaining: "This is basically what we served at my three-year-old's birthday party. Except we had quiche and strawberries."

Others were confused as to whether the couple had a tight budget - or if they just couldn't be bothered.

"This is what happens when you ask your family to cook for your wedding," said one.

While another wrote: "Pathetic. This looks like a catering spread for work - a low budget one."

Other users were particularly bothered that the orange segments still had stickers while many were concerned over how they had been cut.

"They took the time to unwrap hundreds of slices of fake cheese but couldn't be bothered to take the sticker off the fruit?" Asked one baffled member of the group.

"I don't even know how they cut orange that way," said another.

"It must have made it harder as usually, you cut in half then into quarters. That looks like a third."

Wedding food certainly seems to be a touchy subject for many couples and guests.

Last week, we told you about one bride who sparked debate online by refusing to cater for vegans at her wedding.

The bride explained if they need "special food" they can "bring their own dinner".

In other wedding news, we told you about the mother-in-law who demanded a refund for her son's wedding after bride announced she won’t be having kids.

We also revealed one bridezilla kicked a wedding guest out for "showing off" and wearing his military uniform during the reception.

And we showed you the tearful size six bride-to-be who was called FAT by her mum as she searched for her dream wedding dress with Gok Wan on Say Yes To The Dress.
