Prince Harry hints that wife Meghan Markle had a natural birth of Baby Sussex
The proud Duke of Sussex said the birth was the most 'amazing experience he could ever possibly imagine'
PRINCE Harry was full of emotion as he spoke of becoming a dad for the first time today.
And the Duke of Sussex, 34, appeared to hint that Meghan, 37, opted for a natural birth for the labour this morning.
Speaking outside Windsor today, he said: "I'm very excited that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy.
“Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It's been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine.”
Prince Harry gave insight at what Meghan went through when she gave birth and said: "How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.
“But we are both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there."
The palace has been contacted for comment by Fabulous Digital.
The Sussex baby was born at 5.26am this morning and weighs 7lbs 3oz.
Meghan is understood to desperately want a “natural” home birth and has even looked into alternative treatments to keep her calm on the big day.
At 37, Meghan is considered a “geriatric” maternity patient and this increased her risk of a troublesome labour, but thankfully both mum and baby are said to be healthy.
PRINCE HARRY'S UPDATE TODAY ON MEGHAN MARKLE AND HIS NEW BABY
"I'm very excited that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy.
"Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It's been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine.
"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, but we are both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there.
"It's been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.
"Still thinking about names. The baby is a little bit over due so we've had a little time to think about it.
"That's the next bit, but for us, we will seeing you guys in two days time, as planned as a family to be able to share with you guys, so everybody can see the baby.
"I haven't been at many births, this is definitely my first birth but it was amazing, absolutely incredible.
"I'm so incredibly proud of my wife and as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for so I'm just over the moon."
The baby's sex was a surprise for the delighted couple, who chose not to find out what they were having.
Prince Harry also hinted we may get our first glimpse of Baby Sussex as soon as Wednesday.
Proud dad Harry said: “Still thinking about names. The baby is a little bit over due so we've had a little time to think about it.
"That's the next bit, but for us, we will seeing you guys in two days time, as planned as a family to be able to share with you guys, so everybody can see the baby.”
The newest addition to the Windsor family is a first cousin of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and a fourth grandchild for the Prince of Wales.
Meghan revealed that she was keeping her birth private until they have had an opportunity to celebrate as a family.
This including shunning a photocall on the day of birth like Kate Middleton did with her three children outside the £7,500-a-night Lindo Wing.
In a statement the palace previously said: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.
"Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
"The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."
We shared how Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland is ‘overjoyed’ at Baby Sussex being born after becoming a grandma for the first time.
