King George VI's brother — whose name was actually George — was the father of Prince Michael of Kent, Lady Gabriella's father.
As their fathers were brothers, the Queen and Prince Michael are cousins.
The children of first cousins are called second cousins, meaning King Charles and Lady Gabriella are second cousins.
Lady Gabriella had a close relationship with the Queen and was one of the guests at her wedding.
As of October 2023, she is 56th in line to the throne and is not a working member of the Royal Family.
Lady Gabriella is sometimes seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the rest of the royals for different events such as Trooping the Colour.

He then transitioned to finance, working as an equity analyst for Schroders, a global asset management firm, and then as managing director of Voltan Capital Management until April 2017.
Thomas previously dated Kate Middleton's sister Pippa before she married into the Matthews family.
On February 27, 2024, it was announced that Thomas had sadly passed away.
A Palace spokesperson said: "It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother.
"Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing."
Tributes poured in, which included a heartfelt message from King Charles and Camilla.
Their statement read: "The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family.
"In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts
and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family."
On March 1, 2024, an inquest into his death found that the financier died from a “traumatic head wound” and was found with a gun near to his body.
Senior coroner Katy Skerrett said: "Mr Kingston was visiting his parents' home in the Cotswolds.
"On February 25 2024 he ate lunch with his parents. His father went out to walk the dogs.
"On his return Mr Kingston was not in the house and after approximately 30 minutes his mother went to look for him.
"His father forced entry on a locked out building when no reply could be gained.
"He found Mr Kingston deceased with a catastrophic head injury. A gun was present at the scene.
"Emergency services were called. Police are satisfied the death is not suspicious."

The royal has been referred to as Princess Pushy, a nickname that was allegedly given to her by Princess Anne.
Addressing the name in a 2000 interview with The Telegraph, Princess Michael said: "It comes up all the time but nobody has ever given an incident of where I have pushed.

"I guess someone said, 'She pushed her way into this family'. I didn't. I held out for years, refusing to marry."
Lady Gabriella grew up in an apartment in Kensington Palace.
The late Queen had famously paid the rent on the apartment until 2008, when the family moved out.
This was because members of Parliament demanded Prince and Princess Michael pay the full market-rate amount of £120,000.
