PRINCE Harry needs his wife Meghan Markle "more than she needs him", a royal author has claimed.
Appearing on Yahoo's Royal Box to discuss how baby Archie was introduced to the world, biographer Andrew Morton said that the former Suits actress has been a source of "stability and structure" for Prince Harry.
Arguing that Prince Harry was "desperate for a family of his own", the author said: "I was looking at some pictures of Harry when he was about eight years old and he was cradling a friend's baby.
"He was always adoring of children and you can see that today."
He added: "He's gone from being a little boy who liked kids to being an adult who was desperate for a family."
However, the author - who wrote Diana: Her True Story - believes that the new parents have an unbalanced relationship.
He continued: "It has always been the way that Prince Harry has needed Meghan more than she's needed Harry because she provided the stability and the structure."
What's more, the biographer believes that Meghan will "win over a lot of hearts and minds" in how Prince Harry relies on her.
He said: "They will see how much happiness she has brought into his life."
Appearing alongside Andrew Morton on the show, Royal historian Anna Whitelock claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is incredibly influential within the Royal Family - despite reportedly being warned about clashing with senior Royals about the "chain of command".
The expert commented: "Meghan holds all the cards. I think Meghan is now in a more powerful position than she's ever been.
"She's married to Harry and he clearly dotes on her and adores him. She clearly has a great deal of influence over him."
Furthermore, the historian claims that Meghan is "now the media darling now she has a baby".
Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex proudly posed with their "amazing" son Archie for the world's media - with Meghan saying she has "the two best guys in the world".
