Prince Harry is an ‘amazing’ dad to four-week-old son Archie and is ‘very, very happy’, reveals polo pal Nacho Figueras
IT HAS only been a month since Baby Sussex was born, but it appears Prince Harry has taken to fatherhood very well.
The Duke of Sussex has been described as an "amazing" dad to son Archie by his close friend Nacho Figueras, who has described him as "very, very happy" about being a parent.
Speaking to , the 42-year-old Argentine polo player - who has already met the newborn at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor with his wife Delfina Blaquier - praised the 34-year-old royal for how he has taken on the big new role.
"He seems to be really, really happy so I'm very happy and excited for him," he said.
"I've been saying this for a long time, he's a person that loves children.
"I've seen him interact with children for a very long time in all these things that we do in Africa so I'm not surprised he's an amazing father."
Nacho, who played with Harry at a charity polo match in Rome two weeks ago, added that he hopes Archie will take up the sport just like his father, grandfather Prince Charles and great-grandfather Prince Philip.
The player recently told Johnny Hornby, the chairman of Harry's charity Sentebale, that "the Duke couldn't take his eyes off of him — nor his hands" when he visited the newborn last month.
Ahead of the charity match a fortnight after Archie was born, he revealed that the Duke had had "a good night's sleep".
His pal added: "He seems to be very, very happy, I think this is a very exciting part of his life. He was ready for it and I think he's loving it.
"I always thought that he would be an amazing father because he has a great affinity for children – two weeks is very, very soon, but I'm sure he's changed."
Last year, Nacho said he was "so happy he found Meghan" and couldn't wait for them to start a family.
It comes as Meghan's best friend Jessica Mulroney and her young daughter Ivy visited Archie.
We also revealed that Priyanka Chopra has visited the new royal too, and had gifted him Tiffany jewellery.
