The paper reports that Buckingham Palace knew nothing about Meghan's plans to jet off to New York for the star-studded celebration and want to prevent any "secret" trips from happening again in future.

Commenting on the Palace's decision to move Meghan and Harry's office, a royal insider told the paper: "The intention is to ensure what they do is co-ordinated with the rest of the household."

Since Harry and Meghan moved into the grounds of the Windsor Estate earlier this year, the source says the Palace are adamant that the Sussex residence will not turn into "an Independent State of Frogmore."

Earlier this year, another Palace source revealed The Queen had "blocked" Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from separating themselves from Buckingham Palace.

A source told : "They wanted their household [at Frogmore Cottage] to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but they were told 'no'.

"The feeling is that it's good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they can't just go off and do their own thing."

With their offices in Buckingham Palace, The Queen reportedly wants Prince Harry and Meghan to "co-ordinate diaries better" within the Royal Family and "coordinate what they're putting out".

Kensington Palace - where Harry and Meghan's office was previously based - is a working Royal residence which incorporates the offices of The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke and Duchess of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton.
