Bride outraged after her bridesmaid sister picks a ‘trashy’ BLACK lace gown for the big day
A BRIDE-TO-BE was left furious after her bridesmaid sister opted for a see-through black gown for her wedding.
Taking to Facebook, the woman explained she asked her sibling to buy a "navy dress with flowers on", but was stunned when she chose a see-through black style instead.
Sharing an image of the sheer gown - believed to be from Fashion Nova - the bride-to-be wrote: "My wedding is in eight days and I told my little sister in January to get a navy dress with flowers on it.
"She told me today she hasn't ordered a dress yet but she liked this.
"I said that's not appropriate for my wedding especially as a bridesmaid so if this is your hint you don't want to be a bridesmaid just say it.
"So she has stepped out of being my bridesmaid and I think she still thinks she gets to do all the bridesmaid fun with me and bachelorette fun ... sorry nope!"
The gown costs £54 and features a mesh floral design with bodysuit lining, padded bra cups and a floor-length, see-through skirt.
Despite rave reviews online, Facebook users were not impressed, with several claiming it was more suited to Coachella than a wedding.
"It's a wedding, not Coachella," wrote one.
While another said: "Anyone that would wear this dress to a wedding is just trying to show up the bride and be trashy."
Others said it looked more like lingerie, with one woman commenting that it "belongs in a bedroom".
"If you showed up to my wedding in negligee, you'd be asked to go back to your home and get a good night's sleep."
Others agreed, with one writing: "Stunning lingerie. Not appropriate for anything outdoors except a pool party where all you're planning on doing is day drinking and not actually swimming."
Would you wear this daring style at a wedding?
