Kitten heels made from Nike trainers now exist and shoppers have called the bizarre shoes ‘disgusting’
A FASHION designer has created kitten heels out of old Nike trainers, and people are horrified.
Romanian designer Ancuta Sarca, based in London, has given the classic trainer a complete makeover.
Ancuta 'upcycles' a range of shoes, but her Nike collection is proving the most controversial.
Sharing snaps of her footwear on , Ancuta posts have been liked thousands of times.
She captions them with a variety of phrases, including “Nike all the way please”, “same old trainers”, “in my upcycled croc Nikes” and “upcycled shoes by me.”
Despite Nike’s ‘Just Do It’ motto, this is one situation where we might have to give it a miss.
And while the company itself is constantly bringing out new designs, with profits of £7.7 billion ($.98 billion) last year, we’re not sure the Nike heels will be hitting shelves any time soon.
People have branded the shoes “awkward”, with one person saying: “They’re so cool and so disgusting I love it.”
Another said: “The shoes on this page are so awkward.”
A third wrote: “That’s a hell no from me.”
Somebody else commented: “20% gorgeous 80% disgusting AND I’M LOVING THEM.”
This person added: “No more ‘wicked witch’ pointy-toe shoes."
And another wrote: "Them shoes ugly ass f**k."
While another person called them “fugly”, “hideous” and “horrendous”.
But not everyone hated them, with people asking if they were available to buy.
One comment said: “These are Ahhhhhmazing how can I get some ??”
