STRIKE A POSE

From flamingo to shelfie belfie, poses loved by celebrities that’ll make your Instagram snaps picture perfect

FED up of looking the same in all of your pictures?

Well your trusty hand-on-the-hip pose is also out of fashion.

Vogue Williams perfectly nails the hat clasp pose

The latest Instagram trend has seen the teapot stance thrown into the recycle bin, to be replaced by the hat clasp. And yes, it really is as simple as it sounds.

Pop on your sun hat, secure it with your hand – as if it is about to blow away – and look far into the distance. The key is to imagine you are sailing on a luxury yacht – even if, in reality, you are on a beach in Bognor.

Celebrity fans include singer Nicole Scherzinger, actress Vanessa Hudgens and model Vogue Williams. But that is not the only pose doing the rounds on Instagram.

Clemmie Fieldsend takes a look at four of the most popular so that you can take the perfect snap on your holiday and get those likes rolling in.

Hat clasp

HOLD on to your hats, ladies . . .  and do not forget to smile.

The jet-set look is sweeping across social media – and is actually a slimming trick, too.

Actress Vanessa Hudgens is all smiles as she clasps her hat

Turn your body towards the sunshine – and slightly away from the camera – extend your neck and hold your hat for a pose that flatters the jawline and illuminates your face.

Clutching a beach bag despite being in her garden, model Vogue Williams, 33, perfected the pose, left. While singer Nicole Scherzinger, 41, above right, made easy work of it on a boat in Italy. Lapping up the sun at this year’s Coachella festival, actress Vanessa Hudgens, 30, also gave it a try.

Shelfie belfie

YOU have probably heard of the Belfie, which involves taking a snap from behind that perfectly shows off your posterior.

But the SHELFIE belfie is all about sitting on a bench, chair, sun lounger – whatever you can find – as your derriere will look even more peachy.

Gemma Collins posted this snap to celebrate reaching 1.4million Instagram followers

Just look at these celebs.

Trendsetter and bride-to-be Kate Wright, 28, flaunted her backside with a cheeky glance over the shoulder on a holiday last summer.

Model Jourdan Dunn, also 28, tried her own version of the shelfie belfie while in Bali, Indonesia in January – proving a little junk in the trunk goes a long way.

And Towie’s Gemma Collins, 38, posted this snap on Instagram earlier this week to celebrate reaching 1.4million followers.

Flamingo

STUCK for a pose? Look no further than the animal kingdom.

We have had the duck face and the Bambi stance, but this year the flamingo takes centre stage.

Model Winnie Harlow looks stunning in her blue swimsuit

Simply stand on one leg with the other bent at the knee, often resting against a wall. Balance while giving your best sultry eyes.

She might have a shed load of trainers, but Queen Beyonce, 37, goes barefoot to showcase the flamingo in April.

Winnie Harlow, 24, earned her model status a month later with this perfect pose in Miami.

And singer Dua Lipa, 23, took the flamingo to Paris in June to be announced as the face of luxury brand YSL’s new fragrance.

Barbie feet

THE inspiration for this trend is Barbie’s feet.

The doll-like pose is all about putting your best foot forward in order to elongate your legs.

Perrie Edwards channels her inner Barbie

Extend a leg and point your toes to give the illusion of wearing heels – just like Barbie’s awkward tootsies.

Then pop your hip out to accentuate your curves and you will have a pose worthy of a magazine cover – if it is good enough for models, it is good enough for us.

Kendall Jenner, 23, showed off her never-ending pins, in May 2018.

Model Ashley Graham, 31, pulled it off on a trip to Mexico in May. And Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, 25, channelled her inner Barbie on a holiday to Mykonos, Greece, in August.
