Royal fans claim Prince William looked ‘disrespectful’ and ‘unhappy’ at Archie’s christening
PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated Archie's christening today by releasing an official family portrait to mark the special occasion.
But royal fans are convinced the photograph - which also includes Prince William and Kate Middleton - looks "awkward" with social media users slamming William as "rude" and claiming "his face is sour".
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released two official photographs this afternoon to celebrate the special occasion.
The first image was a touching black and white photograph showing little Archie cradled in the arms of mum Meghan, 37, as doting dad Harry, 34, puts his arm around the pair.
The second was a family portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex alongside Archie, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Kate Middleton and Prince William.
Meghan's mum Doria Ragland as well as Princess Diana's sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes were also in the official portrait.
But royal fans seem to have taken issue with Prince William, with one slamming the Duke as "rude and disrespectful".
"The look on William's face disappoints me," the user wrote on Instagram.
"It's just rude and disrespectful... like you can't show your brother the same respect he's shown to you.
"It seems like he's not happy for him."
Others took to Twitter to voice their concern, with one claiming William looked "sour" while others said he "doesn't look happy".
"William looks like he would rather be elsewhere, his face is so sour," wrote one.
Another tweeted: "William should have a much bigger smile on his face".
Speaking to Fabulous Digital today, body language expert Judi James said William appeared to be pulling a "a self-protective barrier pose" in the photograph.
"The formal pose shows all the royals looking relaxed and happy apart from a rather over-formal William in a self-protective barrier pose and Kate looking as though she's determined to not upstage the happy couple and their first baby," Judi explained.
Kate and Will's attendance came despite rumours of a rift between the couples, with the Sussexes recently splitting from the joint charity with the Cambridges.
The speculated feud has even seen the palace deliberately try to avoid “diary clashes” between Harry, Meghan, William and Kate to prevent “competition”, a royal author claimed.
But Prince William isn't the only royal in the photo fans can't stop talking about.
Since the photos were released, royal fans have been divided over who Archie looks the most like - Meghan or Harry.
Hundreds are convinced Archie is "the spitting image" of his dad, while some are adamant he has a likeness to Meghan.
And although fans were divided over who Archie looks the most like, they were in agreement over the tot's hair colour, with thousands convinced Archie has ginger locks.
Members of the St George’s Chapel Choir performed at the ceremony as the seventh-in-line to the throne was baptised in a spectacular £11,000 Lily Font with water from the River Jordan and christened in the same royal gown Kate Middleton's children wore.
Sadly, the Queen was unable to attend due to prior arrangements.
