PrettyLittleThing baffles shoppers by selling mesh chaps to wear with your bikini for the ultimate ‘pool party look’
THIS summer, pool party chic is a huge trend.
From underboob bikinis to glitter suspenders, Ibiza-inspired outfits are all over Instagram - but PrettyLittleThing may have taken things a step too far.
The e-tailer is selling a pair of mesh chaps, which feature an elasticated waistband and ruffle detailing.
Not only that, but their super-long hems drag along the ground - leaving us slightly concerned that they could be a tripping hazard.
Despite this, PLT's website suggests styling the trews with a "glitzy bikini" and wedges "for a look we are crushing on".
Over on Instagram, they've hashtagged a snap of them #poolpartyinspo and #beachlook.
Unsurprisingly, the chaps have divided opinion among shoppers.
Some definitely aren't fans, with Instagram comments including: "An actual joke," and: "Tacky AF. I despair."
One person even joked: "[I'd] wear it to my ex's funeral."
But some seemed to love how unique they are, with one message reading: "This outfit is amazing."
Others said: "I just love your outfits!" and: "Love this."
The chaps are part of the Pretty Little Thing x Ashanti collection, and are currently reduced from £22 to £20.
They're available in sizes 4-16, but you'll actually have to be pretty quick if you want to bag them for any upcoming holidays.
Aside from 12 and 14, all sizes are currently sold out.
Thinking about investing? Please be careful not to fall - you could end up in a right mesh.
In more bizarre fashion news, Fashion Nova is selling a VERY high cut tiger-print swimsuit and shoppers say it looks like a "painful front wedgie".
A bride-to-be has been slammed for altering her own wedding dress - as people say it "looks like it got stuck in a lawn mower".
And a teen was left in tears after the prom dress she bought online looked nothing like the picture.
