Bride-to-be sends guests a TWO PAGE letter detailing the dos and don’ts of her wedding – including how no one can wear pink
A BRIDE-TO-BE has baffled Facebook users with a two-page letter detailing the dos and don'ts of her wedding.
The invitation was posted to group , and includes the colour pink being banned and a strict rule on no "surprise show-ups".
The letter begins with the bride apologising for taking "so long" to get the details of her big day sent out.
She explains: "We don't expect a large turn-out and it is completely understandable to us if you can't make it."
She then adds that she'll be streaming the nuptials on Facebook, continuing: "We will have an alternative option for you.
"We will have the ceremony filmed in a Facebook Live video to be viewed during the service or at any time thereafter."
The bride goes on to explain that her dress is "a blush pink with rose gold detailing", adding: "Please do not wear anything that is a champagne colour or pink of any kind."
And that's not her only strict request - she states that those who don't RSVP to the invite won't "have a chair" at the ceremony, and will be barred from staying for the reception.
She writes: "My MC WILL ask you to leave. Still RSVP even if you have told me in person yes or no, I will only stand by what I receive in email.
"No surprise show-ups are welcome."
Bizarrely, the woman also writes a lengthy paragraph about her reception serving four types of cookie.
She adds that she and her groom will provide both regular and almond milk "for dunking".
The note reads: "We will have both cupcakes and regular cake for wedding cake. The main intention was easy portion for children but all are welcome.
"Almond milk will be unsweetened vanilla since cookies are sweet enough.
"It is a small reception so it is not a lot of food. Please eat something before arriving."
It's safe to say that Facebook users weren't quite sure what to make of the letter.
One commented: "I am so confused. What is happening and when? It seems like this could have been accomplished more clearly in about six bullet points instead of this stream of consciousness mess."
Another said: "Feel like I deserve an invite to the wedding after taking all that time to read that letter."
But others felt a little sorry for the bride, with one saying: "Ahh bless her. I can tell she's a worrier. It's kind of sweet."
A second person added: "I actually found this whole thing kind of sweet. She was understanding that she took a while and people perhaps forgot.
"You can tell the poor thing is stressed and is the type who doesn't want to inconvenience everyone."
