Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shouldn’t be ‘frightened’ about Archie being photographed, according to royal commentator
SINCE Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born in May, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have tried to protect their new family’s privacy.
But a royal commentator has said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shouldn’t be “frightened” about little Archie being photographed in public.
The last time we saw the young tot was when he was being carried by Meghan, 37, as she watched Prince Harry play at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day on July 10.
Fans were treated to sweet photos of Meghan kissing and cradling little Archie as they attended the charity game with Kate Middleton and her three kids.
Speaking to Fabulous Digital, Duncan said: “It’s interesting they brought Archie along to the polo, that’s an encouraging thing.
“I think a lot of us were wondering whether or not he would be hidden away and kept away from the lenses.
“They shouldn’t be too frightened of Archie being photographed. He is seventh in line to the throne.”
Duncan advised that the new parents are working out how much exposure to give Archie, after making his christening private and withholding the name of the godparents.
He said: “Harry and Meghan are trying to find their balance. They don’t want to parade him in front of the cameras, they want to protect him from that as much as they can.
“But the alternative to lock him up in a private house until he is 18 is obviously not going to happen either which is good.”
We previously shared how Prince Harry is keen to give Archie a pressure-free upbringing, similar to the duke’s cousin, Zara Tindall.
Princess Anne famously turned down a HRH title for her daughter, and the royal now lives in Gloucester with her family and doesn’t have to do formal duties.
Duncan said: “Zara’s lived a charmed life, she’s got the best of the both worlds in a way that Harry would dream of.
They shouldn’t be too frightened of Archie being photographed. He is seventh in line to the throne.
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
“If Prince Harry is set his sights on raising Archie in a similar vein where he can live in the big houses and basically be a royal but not a royal, live a normal life with a normal job - that is something that Archie could never have.
“It is impossible that Archie could have a Zara Phillips life.”
Duncan pointed out that Archie hasn’t been given a royal title yet, and added: “I think in terms of Archie, poor old Harry will try and protect Archie as much as he can but he’ll ultimately be fighting a losing battle. The interest in them as a couple is just so big.”
Meghan Markle got cruelly mum-shamed by critics claiming she looks liked she’s about to DROP Archie at the polo.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has found a ‘Pippa Middleton-replica’ in wife Meghan Markle, royal commentator claims.
