Bride-to-be’s QVC heart-shaped engagement ring cruelly slammed by people who say it ‘made their eyes bleed’
A BRIDE-to-be’s engagement ring has been cruelly slammed online with people saying it “made their eyes bleed.”
The betrothed woman took to the Facebook group That’s It I’m Ring Shaming where she shared a snap of her OWN rock.
The ring, which was purchased on QVC, features a large heart shaped stone in the centre and is surrounded by a silver cast featuring seven gem stones.
Captioning the image, she explained the story behind the rock, revealing that her hubby-to-be had been inspired by the computer game Sonic.
She wrote: “My husband modified a QVC ring he found for my engagement ring.
“The seven stones symbolise the chaos emeralds, because he was too nervous to talk to me until he heard me mention Sonic 3.”
Comparing herself to the Japanese Anime, Sailor Moon she added: “I love looking like a Sailor Scout, but I know it’s not everybody’s bag.”
And she was quite right, the image quickly garnered hundreds of comments from horrified group members that dubbed the ring “childish.”
One wrote: “This looks like a s*** gumball machine ring.”
Agreeing another added: “Pretty sure you aren’t even old enough to get married.”
“Wtf, are you 13?” commented a third.
Others had a lot to say about the appearance of the ring.
“This is against the law the fashion police are on their way” commented one horrified group member.
Another added: “I cringed the entire time reading your description. This is not sentimental; this is ugly.... all around barf worthy.”
"Is this a mood ring? Because it puts me in a bad mood" joked one witty member.
Also in agreement another wrote: “Omg my eyes are bleeding but the story’s cute.”
And in one particularly cruel comment one said: “It’s so bad if you handed it in to a charity shop they would just pop it in the bin its Viiiile.”
