Woman’s ‘temporary’ engagement ring is cruelly mocked online after she wears a hair tie around her finger
A BRIDE-to-be has been mocked online after she wore a hair tie around her finger as a “temporary” engagement ring.
The photo was shared on the Facebook group, leaving group members baffled at her decision.
The anonymous woman explained that she had chosen to wear the elastic band because her real rock was banned at work.
She wrote: “Made a temporary ‘I love you/promise/engagement’ ring to wear at work since we can’t wear jewellery with diamonds or anything in it and I was feeling weird without rings on so this helps.”
It didn’t take long for fellow group members to come forward with their catty comments.
One wrote: “She couldn't find anything better than the scrap of an old thong?”
Agreeing a second added: “My hair is in my face can I borrow your engagement ring.”
A third commented: “I’ve never missed my ring so much that I had to tie something onto my body.”
Others were concerned about the woman tying something so tight around her wrist.
“And that's how you lose a finger” said one adding “This ain't about ring fit, she literally tied a tourniquet around her finger.”
A second warned: “Putting a hair tie around your finger like that is dangerous.”
Agreeing another said: "Might as well have put a Haribo ring on instead... at least if you get hungry you could eat it... and don’t risk losing a finger."
