While the bride’s parents stand proudly behind their daughter, the groom’s mum can be seen wrapping both of her hands around her son.

Captioning the photo she writes: “She was like this in every. single. photo. Due to weather got second shoot next day. Photographer did not allow her to join.”

She continued: “Out of the 400 photos we got, pictures that included her were one of two things:

“Sitting by herself because she refused to invite any of her 'friends' even when we asked her for names several times.

“Grabby momma. Translation 'Mine mine mine'.”

And it seems that fellow Redditors were equally horrified by her mother-in-law’s behaviour with the photo receiving hundreds of comments.

One wrote: “Did she really need both hands on him? She's not unstable on her feet right?”

Agreeing another added: “It looks like the mother of the groom is physically trying to prevent him from placing his hand on his bride. It's just so gross.”

A third wrote: “Good grief it's almost like she wanted it to be shown in each photo that BOTH her hands were on him. I feel gross.”

“Gosh. What a creeper”, added another.

The photos were shared on the subreddit r/JUSTNOMIL.

The group has over 960,000 members and is described as "a place to get support and advice dealing with mean, nasty, toxic, and/or abusive MILs and moms."

This is not the only mother-in-law to ruffle feathers at a wedding.

Yesterday, we told you about a groom's step-mother-in-law who wore what could be mistaken for a bridal gown to his nuptials.

And a bride shared a shocking snap of her "embarrassing" mother-in-law barging in and interrupting her first dance with her husband.

Plus we told you about a bride who slammed both the groom's parents after they chose to wear white on her big day.
