Scruffy groom slammed for wearing ‘grumpy old git’ T-shirt and jeans to his wedding – while the bride opts for a white mini dress
A GUEST has slammed a casual groom who wore a slogan t-shirt and jeans on his big day.
Taking to Reddit user Nixen898 shared a snap of the newlyweds posing together following their ceremony.
The groom can be seen wearing a black cotton top printed with the words ‘Grumpy Old Git’ which he has paired with faded blue jeans.
The bride is dressed in an equally casual ensemble in the form of a white mini-dress, described as a "swimsuit cover-up" and sneakers.
In fact it is only the guest that poses alongside them who is wearing traditional formalwear on the day.
Captioning the photo Nixen898 wrote: “Yep.. the guy in the t-shirt is really the groom and that really was her wedding dress.”
Rather than the swimsuit coverup, I'm far more concerned with what the heck is on the bride's legs!

Fellow Redditors were equally horrified, sharing their opinions of the comment section.
“America’s cheapest weddings?” write one, with another adding, “Wow that’s terrible.”
Commenting on the bride’s tattoos another wrote: “Rather than the swimsuit coverup, I'm far more concerned with what the heck is on her legs!”
However, some came forward in defence of the bride and groom’s budget celebration.
One said: “Eh! Apparently they had a very relaxed ceremony. Nothing wrong about that.”
Agreeing a second added: “I got no qualms with this. I too would wear whatever I please on my wedding day.”
The photo was shared on the subreddit r/weddingshaming.
