Dibsy, 28, reveals 19 STONE weight loss on This Morning – but now needs £15k for skin removal op
TIPPING the scales at a mind blowing 40 stone, Darren 'Dibsy' McClintock knew he had to lose weight and something in his life desperately needed to change.
He'd been consuming an alarming 11,000 calories a day, had developed a dangerously fast heart-beat and took up two seats on the plane.
His reality check came when doctors told him that he was on the brink of death - and urgently needed to "diet or die".
Determined to lose weight, Dibsy hired top personal trainer Mike Hind to help him get into shape and live a longer life.
His PT firstly made sure Dibsy had been banned from all his local takeaway shops by handing out leaflets saying, "Save Dibsy, Obesity Is Killing Him. Do Not Serve This Man."
And he now has gruelling fitness sessions in the gym three times a day.
Dibsy has now managed to shed an incredible 19 stone in just 11 months which he unveiled on This Morning earlier today - and is now hoping to lose a further one stone by next month.
Appearing on the ITV daytime show alongside his PT, he said: "It's madness just to think how far we've come together in this short space of time is unbelievable.
"My mindset I'm just focused and determined to get to hit that target - he set the target and even I thought it was unrealistic.
"When we sat down he said, 'what do you want to lose?' and I said 'ten stone' and he said, 'I'll lose you 20 if you stick to it - if you give me 100 per cent, we'll lose 20'.
"The doctors have taken me off all medication now, I'm off my heart medication, my heart's back to a normal rhythm and beating perfect - and I'm on no medication at all."
Despite this, Dibsy admitted that he now faces the agonising pain of carrying four stone of excess skin around with him.
And he now needs to raise around £15,000 for surgery to get it removed after the NHS removed funding because he lost the weight himself.
He said: "It's starting to take effect on my training and my day to day life - I just can't get away from it.

"I've been under the NHS for about five or six years, and I was on the gastric bypass list but they told me the funding was put aside with the gastric bypass.
"But then when I decided not to have the gastric bypass because Mike gave me this opportunity, they said the funding had been taken away for the skin operation as well."
His personal trainer Mike claimed he felt "responsible" for all of Dibsy's excess skin and is now desperate to help him get rid of it by setting up a crowdfunding page.
Mike added: "It's something I cant do I feel responsible for because I helped him lose all this weight, then I'm going to leave him with all this skin."

Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield then offered to pay money towards the surgery to remove Dibsy's loose skin.
Phillip said: "If you set up a site, then the show will put money in and Holly and I will put some money in and we'll kickstart you off because you've worked so incredibly hard."
Despite all the pain from his excess skin, Dibsy has managed to compete in a charity boxing match, climbed Ben Nevis and plans to enter the next great North Run.
Dibsy said: "We fought in a charity boxing event in July, and I won the fight - it was an unbelievable experience.

"I climbed Ben Nevis, that was unbelievable that - when we got to the top I decided to spread my dad's ashes.
"I lost my dad when I was 18 and it was just something that I wanted to do - just somewhere I've never been and I probably never will again but just to have that little moment and to share that with my dad and obviously Mike and the team was just nice."
This Sunday, Dibsy and Mike will be taking part in the Great North Run.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
