Maid-of-honour who was told she could ‘wear anything’ to the wedding baffles guests when she shows up in an inflatable dinosaur costume
A MAID-of-honour who was told that she could where “whatever she wanted” to a friend’s wedding shocked guests when she turned up in an inflatable dinosaur costume.
Taking to user The_Legend_of_Chris shared a snap taken at the ceremony, where the bride’s pal can be seen making rather a spectacle of herself.
While the bride and groom say their vows at the altar the wedding party stands to the right, with most of the group opting for traditional formal wear.
But standing pride of place is the bride’s right hand woman dressed in her ostentatious fancy dress costume.
Captioning the snap the redditor wrote: “When Maid of Honour doesn't grant you enough attention...”
But while the user seemed unimpressed by her outfit choice, the maid of honour herself admitted she had no qualms with her choice.
Sharing the photo herself she wrote: “When you’re maid of honour and told you can wear anything you choose… I regret nothing.”
However, fellow Reddit users had a mixed reaction to her quirky ensemble.
One commented: “Hopefully she spoke with the bride beforehand or she already knew that the bride wouldn’t mind.
“I understand it being a joke but the unspoken rule of weddings is to not take the attention away from the bride and groom.”
Another agreed adding: “This is as entitled as they come.”
However, others saw the funny side, with several admitting they wanted the same thing at their own nuptials.
One wrote: “Honestly, I would ask one of my crazy friends to do this, this looks fun!!!”
“Dude I would love it if maid of honor wore this to my wedding” agreed another.

In other wedding news, we told you how a "cheap" bridezilla refuses to pay for a wedding photographer and offers them "food and wine" instead.
