Timelapse footage shows the mechanical engineer working on the treehouse for almost a year, slowly watching it come together on the ground floor of his home.

Amazingly Jared spent just £400 on his creation for his delighted brood.

He sourced the wood from Vine Maple trees that his neighbour had cut down in order to piece together the perfect play area.

Jared shared the video on his YouTube channel , where he boasts over 4,000 subscribers.

Captioning the vid, which is just under six minutes long he wrote: “This is about 8 months of evenings and some weekends condensed down into just a few minutes.

“I hope you enjoy it and get inspired to be creative with your projects!”

The video has thus far amassed more than 8,000 views and dozens of comments from seriously impressed parents.

One wrote: “Wow...this looks amazing! I can see it was a lot of fun to build, too. Great craftsmanship buddy!”

Another agreed adding: “And the awesome dad of the year award goes to...”

“Wow seriously talented. Top dad” wrote a third.

But despite his triumphs Jared is very humble about his projects.

In his YouTube bio he writes: “I am an engineer by day and a woodworker by night... usually after the kids are in bed and before the neighbours call the cops.

“I consider myself a serious hobbyist and I hope you can learn something and get inspired from the projects and mistakes that I make.”
