Dad of teenage influencer begs brands to STOP sending her sexy lingerie to pose in
A FATHER of a teenage influencer has begged brands to STOP sending her sexy lingerie to model on social media.
Danielle Cohn was blasted by fans earlier this year after she faked a Las Vegas wedding and pregnancy announcement with her YouTuber ex-boyfriend Mikey Tua in an attempt to boost their views.
While Danielle claims she's 15 years old, her father insists that she's two years younger.
The young US star has over 3.7 million Instagram followers and 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube.
She first shot to fame on the app Tik.Tok - formerly known as musical.ly - in 2015 when she was just nine years old.
Although Danielle lives with her mother Jennifer - who also works as her manager - in California, her father Dustin has now expressed his concern with his young daughter's huge online following in a heartfelt Facebook post.
He wrote: "For years I have done the diplomatic thing while dealing with my daughter being online in a way I didn't approve of and trying to have it handled out of social media because I figured the system would work and keep my daughter safe."
The concerned dad claims he's "never liked Danielle being on social media" and felt "pageants, modelling and music.ly were all pushed on her."
Along with her YouTube channel, paid sponsorship deals and pop singles, Danielle has an estimated net worth of £1.75m.
But as Daneille's online following has continued to grow, Dustin has expressed concern for his daughter's safety after he came across Pinterest boards full of her pictures.
Although Dustin has approached social media firms directly to have some of his daughter's photos removed, he claims "no one cares because I am the father".
He then accused the social media platforms of not doing enough to check users aren't lying about their age.
Explaining how he trusted Danielle's mother to control her social media channels, Dustin explained how he allowed his daughter to move to California from Florida as long as she visited once a month, sent school reports and posted "appropriate" things online.
Despite complaining about pictures of his young teenager in crop tops at first, Dustin was horrified when he saw this 13-year-old modelling Calvin Klein lingerie in her bedroom.
He said: "Instead of it being taken down, now every time I ask, I'm told Danielle wants to post it and I’m told she’s losing likes. To me safety is more important."
The dad then blasted social media channels for not listening to his concerns and also accused the brands - such as Fashion Nova - of "child exploitation" for sending her revealing clothing.
Addressing brands directly, Dustin said: "I have never once given my approval for Danielle to do any ads or promotions or shows and if you have something saying I did, it was fake.
"Please don’t call me asking if I authorised her to work, I haven’t and will not period. She is a child and should not have been “working” from such a young age.
"But many people around her and these companies cared more about the money. If you have something with my signature, you were scammed."
Her father now claims he goes for months without seeing or hearing from his daughter - despite a custody agreement stating that she should visit for a week every month.
Along with his daughter dropping out of school to be taught at home, Dustin revealed that his daughter even missed his wedding.
He added: "I had to call the child services in California 6 months ago to ask if my daughter was in school. She was so smart and probably could’ve gotten a cheerleading scholarship eventually."
After expressing concern that she was getting involved with older boys - including her ex Mikey Tua, 17, who thought Danielle was 15 - Dustin claims he has lost all patience.
He concluded: "I am a private person and never wanted to have to come out and make this kind of statement, but I have been forced to as I am tired of being bothered and disgusted for years.
"I never get to see my daughter Danielle, because I won’t go along with the lies and am alienated for it.
“I do want Danielle to be happy, but not at this cost. No 13-year-old should be dancing in lingerie.
“I hope one day she sees that I’ve only ever tried to protect her. I hope others around her wake up and realise it shouldn’t be about the money but living life as a kid that she is.”
Since sharing his side of the story on Facebook earlier this week, Dustin's post has racked up over 2,800 comments and 1,200 shares.
Her mother defended her daughter's social media fame last month.
She argued: "You might not agree with what my daughter post or what she does but at this age she setting up her life she become a millionaire at her age.
"She does it all on her own. We argue and go back and forth as any teenager does with their parents. At the end of the day I will give up my life for them."
Meanwhile Danielle has previously responded to her dad's concern on Instagram, writing: "I have the best life and make my own decisions so tired of this.
"Listen to someone that has nothing to do with me and also took my mom to court before I was famous because he didn't want to pay child support..."
