Use a frying pan

Some of you might think cooking your sausages under the grill is the way to go, but it turns out the pan is the way forward.

Using a heavy based non-stick frying pan is key.

And make sure you place the pan on a low to medium heat.

It’s all about the fat

Many of us will opt for an oil to cook our bangers, but it’s all about duck or goose fat.

Jeff advises you to use a teaspoon of fat to get the best bangers.

Swirl around the fat until the base of the pan is fully coated and then tip away any excess fat.

Leave them to rest

Although your mouth is probably watering at the smell of your sausages, it’s important to let them rest before tucking in.

Leave them for a few minutes to let the meat relax.

This will ensure you get a tender, juicy sausage.

Avoid deep frying

If you are someone that adds a good glug of oil to your pan when cooking sausages, you might want to have a re-think.

Adding too much oil can make the skin of your sausages go tough and the sausage meat can turn dry.

Don’t bake

You might think that putting your sausages in the oven is a healthy option, but you need to stop this ASAP.
