What is the best way to reheat vegetables?

Here are some ways how to reheat roasted and steamed vegetables.

Roasted vegetables

The best way to reheat roasted vegetables is by using an oven or by reheating them on the stove.

If you're using an oven, line them up on a baking sheet covered tray and spread them out so all vegetables maintain their spice and juices.

Drizzle the vegetables with some olive oil to keep moist and roast them for about four to five minutes at a temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you're using a stove to reheat your vegetables, the procedure is similar.

Put your roasted vegetables in a non-stick pan and heat up with some olive oil.

Heat the food on medium heat so that the oil does not burn up your veggies.

Once the vegetables start sizzling remove them from heat and you can serve them.

Steamed vegetables

You can reheat steamed vegetables in the microwaves unlike roasted ones.

Just make sure to not go at a temperature higher than 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wrap your steamed vegetables in some foil so that the nutrients do not escape the vegetables and the vegetable juice conserves the taste.

Steamed vegetables tend to heat up quickly, so we do not advise using an oven.

It can make them crispy and so removes the concept of steamed vegetables.

They can also burn easily and you'll end up with no lunch and wasting food too.

On the other hand, you can use a stove to reheat them.

Just dash in some olive oil, some salt and pepper if you like and toss them around while reheating them on medium heat.

It's important to toss them so that they do not stick to the pan.

How many times can you reheat vegetables?

You should avoid reheating some vegetables, especially certain ones like spinach.

So it is best to only reheat vegetables, if you have to, once.

All food should ideally be reheated ones, to avoid having bacteria collect on the contents and cause you food poisoning.
