Always let your meat sit

According to the pros you should let any meat you cook on the BBQ sit for around 10 minutes before you actually serve it.

Ranker revealed: "When meat hits the heat, the liquid and juices rush toward the centre, storing them there until you cut into it.

"If you want to let these juices internally marinate before cutting it open, let it sit first.

Take meat off the BBQ early

Right before you think your meat is actually done, take it off the grill.

Since meat continues cooking once it's taken off the heat, removing it a couple of minutes early will mean that it's cooked to perection.

Then just angle your meat towards 10 o'clock and let it cook for half the time before flipping it towards two o'clock.

Wait until your charcoal is grey

We get it, you're excited to indulge in some delicious burgers.

But if you don't wait until the charcoal in your BBQ is grey it means it's not hot enough.

Only flip your meat once

The grill masters said only flipping your meat once will mean your burgers are more juicy.

They said: "You may be subconsciously flipping because you've been overcome by the power of the tongs, but flipping repeatedly causes a lot of natural juices to fall off the meat.

"Cook one side fully then flip it over and let the other side do its thing."

Clean the grill with an onion

The only downside to a summer BBQ is the clean up afterwards.

Using half an onion to clean your grill is the perfect solution and will save you from forking out on pricey cleaners.

Just run the onion face down using a fork to hold and scrub away to get rid off tough grime.
