I bagged a mega haul of bargains from Morrisons – I got food for 22p, even the Easter bits are reduced

A SAVVY shopper has revealed that he bagged a mega haul of cut-price food from his local supermarket.

Daniel Austin, a bargain hunter and food fan, was left open-mouthed at his recent finds when he was getting his groceries in his local Morrisons in Crewe.

Daniel proudly took to Facebook to show off his purchases, leaving many open-mouthed. 

In the Facebook group UK group, which has 2.2million members, Daniel shared a picture of his cheap finds and said: “My local Morrisons in Crewe all under £9.” 

Daniel was luckily enough to nab a load of yellow sticker items, all heavily reduced.

He bagged hog roast sausage rolls, two loads of tiger bread, two packs of bagels and a stonebaked pizza.

He also got a ham and pineapple pizza which was reduced from £3.50 to just 70p.

As well as this, he got a bag of hot chicken thighs, which were originally £3.25 but were down to just £1.63.

He also got a white loaf of bread, reduced down to 32p from £1.25 and two packs of scones, once £1.49 but now 38p. 

He even got some Easter bits too - two packs of hot cross buns which were originally 85p but he got for 22p and some Easter crumpets which were reduced down to 32p from £1.25. 

His post has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 263 likes and 38 comments in just 12 hours.

Social media users were left open-mouthed at his finds and were eager to congratulate him on his bargain buys in the comments.

One person said: “Nice find.” 

Another added: “Well done. That's amazing.” 

A third commented: “That's awesome! Congratulations!” 

Someone else noted: “Well done. What a carb fix.” 

Meanwhile, another user joked: “What you doing with all the bread? Do you have a pet duck?”

To this, Daniel replied: “No pet duck here, just me and my partner and 4 kids.

“Plenty of picnics and don’t forget the hot cross buns lol.” 

One foodie recommended: “You can freeze it” to which Daniel confirmed “I sure have.”

Whilst another Morrirons shopper explained: “I was in there around 6:20pm, they were reducing things like that.

“I grabbed some lemon muffins for 17p.. I was well chuffed with myself.”
