Foodies are racing to Morrisons to bag the afternoon tea deal of the year – but some say it’s not the cream of the crop
MONEY-SAVING food fans are going wild after Morrisons introduced a budget-friendly afternoon tea deal - but not everyone will be racing to enjoy it.
What's better than a scrumptious afternoon tea with yummy sandwiches and scones? One that will cost you just £2 - and now Morrisons offer a bargain deal for all the foodies out there.
According to one delighted customer, Deb Felton, you can now enjoy a mini afternoon tea at Morrisons for a mere £2.
Chuffed with the food, Deb took to Facebook to inform fellow food enthusiasts about the steal, where she got her hands on sarnies, jam, cream, butter, scones and of course, a cup of tea.
''Thought this was a great deal in Morrisons. Mini cream tea,'' she wrote in .
Deb added that usually this would've cost £2.99 - which in her eyes was a ''good value anyway'' - but now you can save 99p.

In total, for two plates full of sweet treats, as well as a gingerbread man and some apple juice, the customer paid £5.98.
Deb, who visited a Morrisons store in Gosport near Portsmouth, added that 'everything was very fresh''.
But whilst many like Deb were raving about the incredible meal deal, not everyone reckoned it was the cream of the crop.
As the post racked up a whopping 2.7k likes on the social media platform, hundreds raced to comments, where many complained about the food.
