The batter bowl has been promoted from Sunday roast staple to junk food goal thanks to the imaginative chefs at Rub Smokehouse and Bar.
Chefs at the chain's branch in Beverley, East Yorks have come up with an Italian twist on the British classic.
Inspired by a Chicago-style deep dish pizza, it has a sausage ragu base with fistfuls of cheese.

Rub boss Jason Rowe told Mirror Online: "We've been looking for ideas for Yorkshire puddings dishes.
"After creating the Yorkshire pudding burrito, which was the size of your arm, we were inspired by the Chicago pot pie pizza, which is cheese porn baked in a bowl – it seemed like a natural marriage?
"It's so right, but so wrong."
Other impressive items on the Rub Smokehouse's menu is the lasagne burrito, the nacho meats cheese fondue, and a burger savagely impaled on a corndog.
The calorific monster comes with its own bottle of barbecue sauce to wash down the staggering amount of meat, which weighs one-and-a-half kilograms.
Adventurous diners can try the Yorkshire pudding pizza at Rub Smokehouse restaurants in Newcastle, Beverley, Nottingham, and Birmingham and it costs £15.95.
