This genius way to get extra toppings on your McFlurry has McDonald’s fans in a frenzy

THERE'S a little-known way to get extra toppings on your McFlurry - and it costs just 20p.

McDonald's ice cream fans who've been left disappointed by a lack of sauce and sprinklings will be delighted to know that they can get an extra shot at a bargain price.

Scores of people have taken to social media to express their delight at the discovery.

Among them is Charlie Gammon, who wrote: "Please tell me I wasn't the only person to know you could get extra toppings on a mcflurry for 20p".

While Twitter user Elly1811 said: "My boyfriend used to be manager of McDonald's, he just told me you can more than one topping on a Mcflurry for 20p".

Poppy Francesca tweeted: "Just found out you can get extra shots of chocolate in a McFlurry for 20p extraaa (sic)".

While impressed diner Chris Page said: "So you add extra toppings to ya mcflurry for 20p. Bargain".

And Amy Ashmore described it as "the best 20p you will have ever spent".

Sadly, there may be a reason that not everyone knows about this trick, because it's not available nationwide.

A McDonald's spokesman told Metro.co.uk: "We offer guidance around pricing, but ultimately our franchisees decide on those which are set based on a number of factors.

"We and our franchisees pride ourselves on providing good quality food at affordable prices up and down the country, and work to keep differences to a minimum."

But it's definitely worth asking for extra toppings next time you order a Maccies.
