Aldi is launching Prosecco-infused cocktail sausages… but we’re not convinced that’s a good thing

The budget chain has been getting carried away with its festive fusions

COCKTAIL sausages and a glass of fizz have always been a perfect Christmas party duo.

But the foodies at Aldi seem to have let the festive season go to their heads – and they’ve decided to combine the two.

Yes, they have invented Prosecco-infused cocktail sausages – and we’re not sure we like the sound of that.

The new party treats are not just brushed with a sparking wine glaze – they have Prosecco coursing through the sausage meat.

JOLLY GOOD Aldi’s Christmas hampers are available to pre-order NOW… and prices start at £19.99

The boozy bangers also have a Christmassy hint of cranberry and orange.

The whole thing might sound like a strange and not altogether appetising blend, but at least it won’t cost you much to find out.

The Selected Outdoor Bred British Pork Cocktail Sausages with Prosecco, Cranberry and Orange, which hit the stores on December 14, are only £1.99 a pack.

The budget chain have been getting a bit over-excited with their festive fusions this year.

They have already come up with chocolate wine and gin-flavoured mince pies.
