CHRISTMAS is (almost) here and the festive food is hitting the shelves and the menus.
But along with the standard mince pies and Brussel sprouts, there's a new breed of weird and wonderful seasonal creations coming our way this year.
So we've taken one for the team and tasted ALL of it, in a bid to work out what's good enough for your Christmas table and what Santa should really just take back to the North Pole with him.
Seriously though... you can thank us later.
First up was the unique take on a classic Italian, the gammon pizza with spiced apricot chutney and goat’s cheese.
Basically it's a festive starter on some crispy dough and as you can imagine, it went down a treat.

They created a Christmas dinner lovingly enclosed in a Yorkshire pudding wrap - we know, we were salivating too.
The soft doughy festive treat is one of our top picks - the meaty company have got Christmas all wrapped up.
Tesco have created these crisp-mas treats (see what we did there) and we definitely enjoyed them.
The smokey porky flavours will transport you back to the Christmas dinner table.

The high ratio of pickle to cheese made them a sharp tasting snack, but the pastry was spot on.
That's right. This is now a thing - a yogurty, spiced, cinnamony thing - and we weren't big fans.
The sharp yogurt aftertaste and the blended texture with traditional pud flavours didn't float our boat.
If there was anything that you could do to a mince pie to make it better, it would be to take out the dry and crumbly pastry and replace it with buttery layers of French pastry goodness. Enter Paul's Bakery.
They have knocked it out of this park with this calorific (but let's ignore that - it's Christmas) treat.
It's made it to our top picks list along with the YorkyPud Christmas wrap.
We can safely say the two of them have won Christmas.
If you enjoyed that, check out our rating of all the Christmas sandwiches on the high street from M&S to Pret and Waitrose.
We also asked the question: is Sainsbury’s £3.50 SNOW GLOBE Brioche bun Xmas dinner roll topped with stars a step too far?
And did you know that EAT now sells festive "pigs in blankets" with mash and gravy.
