Here’s the sneaky way you can tell if you have a white chocolate Cadbury Creme Egg without even unwrapping it
CREME Egg fans across the country were egg-static at the news this week that Cadbury has introduced a WHITE chocolate version of its much-loved treat.
There's only a limited number however, with the lucky few who find one in with a chance of winning up to £2,000.
There are believed to be around 371 limited-edition white chocolate eggs in shops all over the UK.
The eggs, which cost around 58p, are the same as the original version, with a gooey, fondant yolk centre, except the shell is made out of white chocolate.
The promotion has sparked a furious Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-style hunt, with supermarket staff being accused of unwrapping Cadbury Creme Eggs before putting them on the shelves.
However, there is a sneaky way you can find out if you've found one of the winning eggs without even taking off the wrapper.
On a regular Creme Egg, the ingredients list explains that beneath the packaging is a milk chocolate egg with a soft fondant centre.
It then reels off the ingredients for the milk chocolate, which includes milk solids, vegetable fats and cocoa butter.
But according to , who were lucky enough to get their hands on one of the rare eggs, there's a tell-tale clue on the wrapper of the white chocolate version.
Rather than saying "milk chocolate", it says "white".
Where can you find a winning white Cadbury's Creme Egg?
Hundreds of eggs have been hidden in shops. They have the same packaging as the classic fondant treat, but the numbers are limited.

A spokesperson for Cadbury said: “All white Cadbury Creme Eggs, whilst wrapped in the same iconic packaging as the classic creme egg, will contain nutritional information that is specific to the white chocolate variant.
"It is a legal requirement for all food manufacturers to display all ingredients on the packaging.”
If you find an egg then you must keep the voucher to claim your prize.
