What are the Flat Tummy Co appetite suppressing lollipops, are they available in the UK and are they safe?

THE Flat Tummy Co is a company claiming their products aid women in achieving a flat stomach.

The brand sells a range of supplements, including Flat Tummy Shakes, Flat Tummy Tea and appetite suppressing Flat Tummy Lollipops.

The says their mission is: “From one girl to another, we're going to help you get back on track, your tummy flat and feeling freaking good.

“We set out to create a natural, safe and gentle way to get our tummies flat and kick that bloated, slow and sluggish feeling. And we did.”

Overall is says it works by cleansing and debloating, with the first step to ‘activate’ your digestive system, followed by 'cleansing' it.

They have a Shake It program, which claims to contain 20g of plant based protein, 22 vitamins and minerals and more than 50 fruits and vegetables.

It also claims to be gluten free, soy free, dairy free, sugar free and 100% vegan.

The Flat Tummy shakes come in a two or four week program, with either 10 or 20 sachets, costing £51.11 and £65.93.

The website recommends replacing one to two meals per day with a shake sachet, which comes in two types, Extra Kick and Shake It Baby, with the first designed for Mondays.

What are the Flat Tummy Co appetite suppressing lollipops?

The lollipops are available in four flavours; grape, watermelon, yellow apple and berry.

They are sold as a two week supply, costing £26.67, or a four week supply costing £36.30.

The active ingredient in the sweet is Satiereal.

The website states: “Our Lollipops feature SATIEREAL, a clinically proven safe active ingredient extracted from natural plants.

“It works to maximise satiety (which helps control food intake, cravings and weight).

“So with 1-2 pops per day, you’ll have your hunger under control and cravings in-check.

“Just have one whenever you start to feel hungry and it’ll help hold you over until your next meal!”

Each lollipop is only 35 calories, and is advertised to ‘suppress your appetite’, ‘kick your cravings’ and contains ‘natural colours and flavours’.

Are they available in the UK?

No, none of the products are available to be shipped to the UK.

They ship to the US and all around the world – apart from eight countries.

These are the UK, UAE, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Sudan and Syria.

Are they safe?

There is a disclaimer on the website which confirms none of their products have been approved by the US food regulatory body.

It says: “These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

“This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Results may vary for Flat Tummy Tea.”

It means the promises, achievements and claims have not been verified and there is no proof the product can deliver what it says.

And there are further disclaimers when you go to check out.

The product warns: “Results from consuming the products offered on the Site may vary from person to person.

“Please do not use the products available on the Site when pregnant or breast feeding.

“You should consult your doctor before using the products offered on the Site, or any dietary supplement.”

As well as no formal backing,  has been heavily criticised for promoting the product.

She posed with one of the lollipops on Instagram to her 111m followers.

Many fans have expressed sadness she used her platform to promote the product.

One said: “What a bad example for the world and especially young females.”

Another wrote: “This is a disgrace. Surpressing your appetite is not the answer folks. Please don't listen to this.”

While a third replied: “So many young women look up to you and body image is already such a huge problem for many women. Shame on you Kim.”
