Do FA Cup semi-final ties have replays or are extra-time and penalties used if it is a draw?
FA CUP action returns this week - and there are some epic ties to get stuck into for the semi-finals.
But fans are still confused about whether extra time and penalties are used if required or if there are replays for the teams who cannot be separated after 90 minutes.
Will there be replays for the FA Cup semi-finals?
FA Cup replays have become a huge part of English football's most famous cup competition.
And there have been extensive changes in recent years regarding whether they are included.
In the 2020-21 and the 2021-22 season, all replays were scrapped due to fixture congestion.
But they were brought back for the third and fourth rounds of the 2022-23 campaign.
For the 2023-24 season, there were replays in the fourth round if needed - and they were available in the third round too.
However, from the fifth round onwards, there will be no replays and matches that end in a draw will be settled on the day.
And from the 2024/25 season onwards, there will be NO replays in the FA Cup.

Will there be extra-time and penalties during replays?
Yes! Extra-time and penalties are available if two teams cannot be separated during their FA Cup tie after 90 minutes in the replay.
There will be 30 minutes of extra-time played and if the ties are still level, the winner will progress through a penalty shootout.
