A WOMAN claims she was left vomiting blood and nearly died after spending £12,000 on a Brazilian butt lift (BBL).
Sofia Lips, 27, a content creator from Manchester, wanted to get the procedure to achieve an hourglass shape.
Sofia – who previously made headlines for having Britain’s largest lips – flew to Turkey for the surgery, and claims she couldn’t sit down for four months after the op.
She said she was flown back to the UK that day, with doctors rushing to drain the dangerous levels of fluid in her body.
Despite the “near-fatal” incident, she said she would do it again to achieve the perfect body.
Sofia said: “The surgery itself went amazing, but I woke up after throwing up blood.

“I instantly had to go to the airport because Turkey went into a red zone due to Covid in May 2021.
“There were no drains in my butt, so all the fluid was building up in me.
“The fluid was a build-up of pure blood because, after a BBL, you are fitted with drains for at least a few days, but I was woken up with nothing, no drains, no aftercare just in a compression suit being sent to an airport.
“I was totally on my own for the flight, everything. Just standing up was hard... I was so faint.

“I had a BBL pillow I had to sit on during take-off, then I stood the whole flight, crying behind my sunglasses until landing, when I sat back on my BBL pillow.
“Once I landed, I was so weak and fainting. I went straight home and started filling with fluid in my butt again, so I had to go to surgery at a hospital to drain it.”
Brazilian butt lifts were banned in the UK in 2018 after a spate of deaths including Leah Cambridge, who suffered three heart attacks after undergoing the procedure in Turkey.
However, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons partly reversed its decision last year, allowing surgeons to carry out a “lite” version of the dangerous procedure.
The op normally sees fat injected into the buttock muscles, making them larger.
“Lite” versions see fat directed below the skin instead.
Full BBLs are still offered in Turkey, where surgeons do them for as little as £2,400.
After spending £2,000 to get home from the country, Sofia was rushed into surgery to drain the build-up of fluid.
Following the initial drain, she had to visit the doctors to be drained once a week for 11 weeks, each time costing her £150.
As well as doctors draining the fluid, she also needed massages to ease the swelling three times a week, costing her £80 a session.
The surgery – which took place in May 2021 – initially cost her £8,000, with Sofia having to spend an additional £4,000 on her aftercare.
She added: “I didn’t understand at the time the amount of time and things you have to do with the aftercare.
“I couldn’t sit for 15 weeks, sleeping was almost impossible and my knees got so weak – but it was so worth it.”
Sharing a video online, she showed off her new bum, wiggling her healing backside for the camera.
Despite the complications, Sofia doesn’t regret her decision, instead planning to have a second BBL.
She said: “I would do it again – I plan to very soon, just to get my ultimate booty perfectly round and huge.
“Eventually, everything went perfect and I love my new huge booty.
“With BBL, round one is good but you if want round two, they have [already] taken all your available fat.
“So you have to spend the next months trying to gain as much as you can weight-wise, which has been really hard for me, but hopefully soon I’ll have enough fat for the next BBL.”
Sofia loves her body and her booty and can’t wait to share her new look with her fans.

She said: “I love it — it’s such a money-maker.
“My OnlyFans went crazy once I enhanced my booty and in real life, I’m sure a head turner and all eyes are always on me when I enter a room.”
