HE'S known as the toughest guy in Hollywood - an ex-con who has starred in everything from Breaking Bad to Machete.
But now Danny Trejo is on a mission to get blokes talking about their problems in the bedroom - especially erectile dysfunction or ED - the most common sex problem men face.
And he has a tough message: "Every man on earth has experienced this, and if you say no, you're lying and I'm calling you a liar.
"So there you go Danny Trejo called you a liar and now you don't have to hide it."
Danny, 75, is the face of a new product called Giddy - a "wearable Viagra" that helps men gain and maintain an erection - without having to pop pills.
Giddy, which will be available in the UK from September is similar to a penis ring but keeps blood in the erect penis without compressing the arteries or urethra.
"It's like macho means you can always get it up but I don't care who you are," Danny says.
"You can be 25-years-old and if you're tired, you've been working all night, it's late - sometimes it's not going to happen.
"But especially in the Latino community where I'm from, men don't talk about these things - because we're supposed to be the hunter-gatherer or some sh*t. Well I hate hunting.
"Women talk about anything they want. But we have to like hold on to some kind of machismo and it has nothing to do with machismo.
"It has to do with keeping your relationship healthy, keeping your relationship satisfied and keeping your relationships at home. I should know - I've had four marriages."
The Desperado star is hoping the new device, which can also be used to enhance the sex lives of men who don't suffer ED by making them last longer, will mean men no longer have to rely on taking Viagra and similar drugs.
The actor, who revealed to Sun Online he had secretly battled liver cancer, says he has to be very careful about what he puts into his body now.
"I'm scared to death of taking too many pills, you know, I literally beat cancer on my liver so I don't want to start putting stuff in there," he said. "That's what's so good about Giddy, there's no pills.
"You know cancer doesn't discriminate. You can be healthy, but it'll still get to you.
"I always had a good lifestyle but I got the bug.
"I had a 10 centimetre tumour in my liver and they said it was too big to start chemo.
"So they gave me injections right into the tumour, three times, seven needles and boom.
"So anyway, the third time, after about six months, I came back and they said, 'You're cancer free'.
"The bad part was I had about six contracts already signed and I was making major money.
"And so I couldn't tell anybody that I had cancer. I always say I had just suffered in silence. But my secretary laughs she says 'In silence except for me - I had to listen to you whine like a little girl'
"But my kids, my close friends and family they kept my secret. They had to because if people had found out they would pull your contract right now. So I was trying not to lose weight, working all the way through the treatment."
Danny believes his positive attitude helped him beat the cancer.
He said: "At first I thought 'God why me?' Then the thought hit me, 'B***h how would you like to be 12 years old and have cancer?'
"I've lived a good life, I went from underneath the bottom to this beautiful life I've got now so I just started being thankful for all the years I have had. And I beat it - I'm completely clear now."
The dad-of-five, who has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood including director Quentin Tarantino and actors Robert De Niro and Val Kilmer, says he is grateful every day for his success.
"It's funny, I had a love scene with Amber Heard and I was holding her just before they said cut.
"And then Amber started laughing and the director said, 'Amber why are you laughing?'
"And, Amber said 'Because Danny won't stop saying 'Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus'."
"But she's great, she's awesome. I've been lucky enough to work with some of the best actors and actresses, some of the most beautiful women in the world."
As well as being a movie star, Danny also owns a chain of Mexican restaurants, runs his own record label and manages a female boxer.
But it's a far cry from his early life, where he was a serial criminal and thought he'd never get out of prison alive.
Born and raised in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles to Mexican parents, he said as a youngster there were two career options - "you could be a labourer or a drug dealer".
He chose the latter - and was in an out of prison until the 70s - when he managed to turn his life around.
It was while he was working as a youth drug counsellor for a young actor on the movie set of Runaway Train that he was asked to be an extra.
A fellow ex-convict turned actor named Edward Bunker, who remembered Danny's boxing skills from his prison days, then asked him to train one of the film's stars for a boxing scene.
From then on his career went from strength to strength.
"The first five years of my career I played bad guys so I would be 'inmate number one', 'killer guy', 'tattoo guy', 'Mexican mean guy'. I never had a name, but that's how I learned how to act.
"It was funny because I'd be standing there and the director would say to me, 'Say something kind of penitentiary', so I'd say 'I'll kill all you f**kers' or 'I'm going to kill the guy that dry cleans your clothes punk' and they'd go 'Wow that's perfect' and be all excited.
"Then suddenly I was getting paid as an actor not just an extra."
From then on, the work kept coming and as well as movies the actor has appeared in dozens of hit TV shows - including Son of Anarchy, Modern Family, Bay Watch and the X Files.
In his most recent role, he plays Boots the Monkey in the the new Dora the Explorer movie.
He says: "You know, I was involved with some really serious incidents in prison that put me on the bottom and probably on the path of the gas chamber.
"And so I was just like, wait a minute, Lord, this, this is not how I intended my life.
"My teachers all said I have great potential. And all the parole officer said I have great potential.
"So I said 'Let me, let me die with dignity, Lord. And I will say your name every day and I will do whatever I can for my fellow man'.
"So I got out of prison and I have not stopped saying his name every day and doing what I can for my fellow man.
"And the reality is that everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else. Everything."
Giddy can be ordered .
