A partygoer who applied her make-up while on the dance floor has shared a photograph of her hilarious make-up fail on Facebook.

Michelle Andrews, who is in her 20s and hails from Australia, was “extremely intoxicated” when she decided to slap on a bit of face powder to cover her sweaty brow.

However, she whacked on so much that she had a visible build-up of product on her forehead and nose – and didn’t realise until a stranger pointed out her beauty mishap an hour later.

Sharing the laugh-out-loud story with her 13,000 , Michelle, a writer, wrote: “I was extremely intoxicated last night.

“Was a little shiny in me T-Zone. So I decided putting a lil powder on my face in the middle of the dance floor was a stellar idea [sic].

“Couldn't see because it was dark. Waited an hour before checking my handy work. Amazing.”

Blogger Michelle admits she was surprised when the selfie of her botched make-up job was viewed by thousands of people and attracted over 2,000 likes.

Alongside the comments applauding her boozed-up efforts, Michelle also became the target of internet trolls.

Cruel commentators branded her a “slut”, “embarrassment” and “retard”, while others said she should learn how to apply her face powder correctly.

“My selfie branched out wider across the Internet, reaching spaces I have never before touched, and what happened is something I never expected,” she wrote for lifestyle website, .

Rather than let the negativity get to her, thick-skinned Michelle deleted the comments and hit back at the bullying.

“More than ever it has become clear to me what trolls thrive on. They thrive on a comment buffer,” she wrote.

“If those haters can't appreciate a powdery, drunk, ridiculous photo when they see one, then they don't deserve a second of my time, anyway.”
