Jon Snow could get his own spin-off series when Game Of Thrones ends

He may know nothing, but the fan-favourite could net big bucks from the series

GAME of Thrones fan-favourite Jon Snow could end up getting his very own spin-off series once the main saga comes to an end.

American studio bosses confirmed they are considering the spin-off, which would make Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, one of the highest-paid stars in television history.

And fans are understandably delighted that, despite knowing nothing, the much-loved Night’s Watch swordsman could front a series after Game of Thrones wraps up next year.

A senior executive at HBO confirmed to that “exploratory talks” with Kit opened after he was sworn to secrecy about the fate of his character in the current sixth season of the hit series, based on the books by George R. R. Martin.

With Game of Thrones enjoyed by viewers in 170 countries, the new show could be a real money spinner for Kit, whose performances in the popular series have had fans on the edge of their seats.

The 29-year-old English star reportedly makes around £684,000 per episode, but this incredible figure could double if his agents can snag a bonus deal based on worldwide syndication.

And his fellow cast members could end up cashing in on the lucrative spin-off too.

The studio source said: “One of the hardest things in showbiz is trying to keep an ensemble cast together and there’s no doubt that, when Thrones finally comes to a close, most members will head off to pursue fresh projects.”

Many of the series’ stars have already begun to carve out successful Hollywood careers for themselves, including Emilia Clarke, 29, who plays Daenerys Targaryen and Gwendoline Christie, 37, who plays fearsome female knight Brienne of Tarth.

If HBO are looking for suggestions, one fan had a very original idea for the direction for the spin-off, saying: “It's gonna be a game show where Jon gets every single question wrong, every single week.”
