Vicky Pattison’s summer body guide Day 4: It’s time to quit the sofa, think positive and get healthy
Geordie Shore star says getting fit is not about beating yourself up but thinking positively
IT’S day four of Vicky’s exclusive summer body guide with The Sun.
With more tasty meals and workouts over the page, here the I’m A Celebrity… star tells JENNY FRANCIS it is important that people don’t beat themselves up about why they got into bad shape — but instead look to make positive changes.
Vicky said: “I don’t want people to feel bad about the way they look, but instead set goals that will make them happy.
I’ve always dabbled in exercise. Me mam had a cross trainer in the house so I would go on it and call it my exercise for the week, then eat a doughnut.
I got really overweight when I was in a relationship with Ricci Guarnaccio (Vicky’s Geordie Shore co-star).
A lot of us do it — we get into a relationship and eat together and don’t worry as much about our diet.
I was on Geordie Shore at the time too so I was drinking a lot.
When you are busy, if you are anything like me, your diet and any sort of exercise falls by the wayside.
Ricci never once made me feel unattractive despite the weight I’d gained. So I never stopped to worry about how much I’d put on.
When cracks started to appear in the relationship and we broke up I was single, fat and unhappy.
I had no motivation, I couldn’t kick-start a new healthy regime, so I went on holiday with my sister to Marbella.
It was a dark time. I was down after the break-up and my future on Geordie Shore looked uncertain so I ate more than ever.
When I saw the pap pictures I looked massive and was desperate to do something about it.
I wish I knew sooner that exercise and healthy food would make me feel better.
I was nervous about starting but once I got a trainer and began to learn about exercise I was amazed at how different I felt almost immediately.
Exercising regularly and eating well gave me a focus and made me feel good about myself.
“Whether you need to get over a bloke, move up at work or even be a better friend, getting fit, losing weight, and eating well will help.”

Vicky added: “Yes I had a personal trainer at the time but I had to want to do it. I had to keep on track myself and that’s the message I’m trying to get across.
If you want to lose weight or tone up, you have to really want it and as soon as you do, you’ll be amazed at how much you can achieve.
My circuits work for everyone because they can be done anywhere, any time — whether you crack out 30 minutes in the morning before work, smash one out before dinner or split two of the circuits over two parts of your day.”
The Geordie babe confessed: “I know how busy our lives are these days but if I can do it in a hotel room or my living room, then you can too.
“My circuit workouts include one explosive fat-burning circuit followed by one of my toning circuits for your abs, bum, legs or arms.
“My fat-burning circuit works by getting your heart rate up really high, burning fat like crazy.
“Then after ten minutes, you can start your toning circuit.”
You can follow Vicky’s of my video workouts on The Sun’s website if you need that extra kick to keep going.
You’ll see me get super sweaty and jump around all over the place.
Follow my videos on your phone, laptop or tablet and if you finish these, there are plenty more on my website
Why not get your mates over for a group workout together too?
However you choose to follow my circuits, you will soon see results.
