Clare Johnson was warned by doctors that she'd have to go through brain surgery if she didn't lose weight
A MUM was left heartbroken when her boyfriend dumped her for being too FAT, but now she’s lost seven stone and has found a new man.
In February last year, 30-year-old Clare Johnson was devastated when her partner of three years broke up with her.
After being diagnosed with a rare neurological condition, the 20 stone mum had also just been warned by doctors that she would face brain surgery if she didn’t lose weight.
Shocked by the news, Clare made it her mission to lose weight, signing up to her local Slimming World last December.
Joining the weight loss program helped the mum-of-two to lose a staggering seven stone in over a year and now weighs less than 12 stone 13lbs.
Remarkably, Clare has managed to transform herself from a size 24 to a trim size 10.
Clare, who was left bedbound by her condition, explained: "I didn't binge eat at all, I just got fat due to the lack of movement and then when he broke up with me I was devastated.
"But then I joined Slimming World and Elite Fitness in March last year and when I could see it was working I just carried on going."
The brunette bombshell reveals that her new look has attracted the attention of male passers-by and even her ex-boyfriend.
Her new found confidence has helped her back onto the path of love, as she’s happily settled down with a new partner Matthew Cooke, 31.
Clare, from Stoke-on-Trent, remembered: "I was really low at the time and I was gutted when I got dumped.
"But now I get a few glances in the street from men which doesn't interest me as I've now found love.
"My ex had even been in touch saying how fantastic I look - but that ship has sailed because I'm now with Matt.”
Before, Clare’s idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) meant she often spent days in bed in pain, leading to her piling on the pounds.
After doctors warned Clare she’d have to lose weight, she took up fitness classes that helped reduce the pressure to her brain.
