Boxer Amir Khan defends spending £100,000 on his daughter’s 2nd BIRTHDAY PARTY… held at a football stadium

The boxer and his wife held a pricey bash for 250 people at Bolton's Macron Stadium

AMIR Khan and his wife, Faryal, forked out an eye-watering £100,000 for their two-year-old daughter’s birthday party.

The pair reportedly spent £1million on their lavish wedding in 2013, and the big-spending couple have once again hit the headlines after splashing the cash to celebrate their daughter Lamaisah's birthday.

The boxer and his wife threw a party for 250 guests, running up a £100,000 bill to cover the cost of the bash, held at the Macron Stadium - home of Khan's beloved Bolton Wanderers football club.

The party, planned entirely by 24-year-old Faryal, featured Disney princesses, Peppa Pigs and a real-life ballerina.

Bolton-born Amir revealed all about the big day in an interview with Hello! magazine.

The 29-year-old Olympian said: “When I walked in, the first thing I said was, 'Wow!' My wife did an amazing job."

He added: “I was busy training when she was planning this, but every day I was getting crazy bills and thinking, 'What's this for?'

“Every penny spent on my daughter is worth it, though. After all, all this hard work I do is for her, for my kid.”

She said: “I had a rough patch at the beginning when I got married to Amir.

“But as I've lived with him, he's showed me a lot of things I didn't know about him.

“He is such a good guy, such a kind-hearted person. He's the type of guy that would give up things for his own happiness to make his wife and child happy.

“Now we're at a stage in our marriage where we're the happiest ever.”

She also said that becoming a dad had transformed her husband and had brought them closer together.

She added: “I've never seen this side of him. He comes home early - before he used to be out with his friends. But now he's just like, 'My wife, my child and home’.

“I have to say to him, 'Can you please go out!' It's great for him and for us. He's changed, being a father, and I've changed being a mother. My life is all about my kid.”
