11 times celebrity dads have absolutely nailed the art of parenting
These Britain and American celebs are not only talented footballers, actors and singers... they are also great parents. From Kanye West to Prince William, here's how to be a cool dad
THESE 11 men are not only handsome, talented, rich and famous – they are also fantastic dads.
Ahead of Father’s Day, we’ve compiled a list of some of the most heart-warming moments from celeb daddy history.
David Beckham:
When thinking of a cool celeb dad, Golden Balls is normally the name that springs to mind.
Posh and Becks have kept their teenage kids grounded by encouraging them to get part-time jobs.
And now the Brooklyn and Becks bromance is breaking broody hearts across the globe.
They even went to a gig together in Manchester on Wednesday night.
There, the footballing legend proved he’s the coolest dad in town by getting a shout-out from The Stone Roses, who dedicated a song to ‘Mr Beckham’.
Ryan Reynolds:
Not only was Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively one of the most glamorous pregnant ladies ever to grace Hollywood, but her hubby Ryan Reynolds is one of the coolest dads.
Unlike many other grumpy dads, the comedy actor’s managed to keep his sense of humour during fatherhood… and often pens hilarious comments in 140 characters or less.
Ryan even joked about teaching 18-month-old daughter James to go on Twitter, writing: “Surprisingly easy to teach a baby to swipe right.”
He’s also posted: “Selecting a lower back tattoo for an infant is easy. Finding someone willing to do the work is challenging.”
Another of his classic quotes was: “Nothing better than spending an entire morning staring into my baby daughter’s eyes, whispering ‘I can’t do this’.”
Mummy Blake’s trying her best to beat him at his own game though.
Posting the above picture on Instagram for Father’s Day, she added: “Since the day our baby was born, I’ve felt so strongly in my heart that you were most likely the father #ILoveYouSoMuchItsSilly
Brad Pitt:
Not only do Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six of their own kids to care for, but the super-dad manages to look out for other tots too.
The world issued a collective ‘aww’ when Brad took a break from filming to rescue this little girl from a mob.
He was in Gran Canaria filming WWII drama Allied, and has been hailed as a hero after saving the school girl from being crushed in the ever-growing crowd.
Prince William:
Prince George is one lucky boy. Not only does the two-year-old get to grow up in the plush Kensington Palace and one day inherit the title of King of England, but he also mixes with US celebs.
Prince William won serious cool dad points when he allowed the two-year-old to stay up late and meet US President Barack Obama earlier this year.
Dressed in his PJs and dressing gown, the toddler prince played on his new rocking horse long after his little sister Princess Charlotte had gone to sleep.
Will Smith:
Sometimes it must be hard living in a famous dad’s shadow, but Fresh Prince legend Will Smith makes sure his kids are NEVER left out.
As if Pursuit of Happiness co-stars Will and Jaiden Smith appearing on the Graham Norton Show together wasn’t enough of a treat already, viewers were given an enormous surprise when Alfonso Ribeiro, better known as Carlton, also appeared on the show.
The trio proceeded to rap and do the infamous Carlton Dance together.
Tom Fletcher:
The McFly frontman warmed hearts across Britain when he uploaded this ADORABLE video of son Buzz’s first experience of a dandelion.
The little man just CAN’T stop laughing, and is one of Tom’s many YouTube triumphs.
Jamie Oliver:
In his quest to get families into the kitchen, Jamie often creates cute cooking videos with his kids.
No turkey twizzlers, obviously.
Michael Buble:
Just when his female admirers thought Michael Bubl couldn’t get any more dreamy, the Haven’t Met You Yet singer uploaded this video to Facebook.
It was left to son Noah to announce that Luisana Lopilato was pregnant again, and that he was expecting a little sibling.
Ashton Kutcher:
The Two and a Half Men funny man has seriously smartened up his act after becoming a dad with wife Mila Kunis.
He told chat show host Ellen De Generes shortly after the birth of daughter Wyatt: “You think you know how much you can love another person, and then you have a child and you realise you didn’t know. It’s infinitely rewarding.”
The pair are now expecting their second child, it was confirmed earlier this week. They have a 20-month-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle together.
Channing Tatum:
He often pays the hard man in movies, and now Channing Tatum has compared protecting his daughter to protecting the fictional president.
Speaking about little Everly at the premier of White House Down, the leading man said: “Well, I’ve never protected the president, but I have been a new dad, and I can tell you that being a new dad is pretty terrifying.
“I’m pretty sure that something about the President makes the stakes a little higher, but to me as a new father, nothing is more important or scary than protecting a daughter.”
Kayne West:
Little diva North West is certainly the apple of her daddy’s eye.
