Sick of your neighbours? This stunning private island off the coast of Scotland could be yours for £500k
This unusual listing is bound to attract some keen buyers
NOT willing to splurge on a pricey house in London? Now you can buy your own private island.
Picturesque Crinan Harbour, located approximately 100 miles to the west of Glasgow can be purchased along with a cottage for just £500,000.
The 1,000 sq/ft home is nestled in the centre of the island, and includes three bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room and conservatory.
A quirky wooden outbuilding lies beside the house, which would be the perfect place to guests to kick back.
Facilities include a boathouse, slipway and a shower room.
The nine acre plot, which includes lush woodland and wild gardens is home to a wide variety of wildlife.
A short-cut from Firth of Clyde to the Western Isles can be accessed through the Crinan Canal, which was opened in 1801.
Andrew Perratt, head of Savills Residential in Scotland, explained: "Crinan Harbour is a really well known landmark as it is where the canal meets the sea.
"The canal was built by the Victorians as a shortcut and it cut trips by a day. It is next to the main harbour and is famous island because it is where people shelter.

Prospective buyers could get their hands on the island for just £500,000, which is the equivalent to a small studio in London.

"We are expecting international interest from the likes of American and the Far East from buyers looking for a holiday home.
"In my experience people who buy island are normally very busy people and it gives them a quiet retreat for weekends and holidays or retirement.
"What makes it attractive is its accessibility and the value - £500,000 doesn't get you much these days in London."
