BLONDES may have more fun but brunettes make the better lovers, according to a new survey.
Women with brown locks are allegedly more adventurous in bed and enjoy getting hot between the sheets more than blondes.
It found that almost six out of ten people say brunettes are better in bed.
And the results are the same for men and women - just 16 per cent of people who took part chose blondes as the best at getting sweaty with.
Meanwhile just 12 per cent voted for lovers with black hair - and nine per cent think women with red hair are the most saucy.
Almost half of the respondents say brunettes are more likely to try new things in the bedroom.
The results are a resounding victory for brunette beauties such as Kate Beckinsale, Emily Blunt and Natalie Portman over blondes such as Scarlett Johansson and Cameron Diaz.
It seems that blondes have got a bad reputation, as the survey also showed that many people believe they are the best when it comes to cheating.
A whopping 54 per cent said blondes are the most unfaithful, followed by brunettes, than those with black and red hair.
Christian Grant, spokesman for IllicitEncounters.com, said: "There is no doubt that blonde women get more interest from men on dating sites.
"But they are not likely to make the best lovers and they need watching carefully because they could be dating someone else at the same time.
"This new research from IllicitEncounters.com shows that brunettes might be the best options if you want to have fun on a date - and a great time in the bedroom."
The poll also questioned participants about some well-known sexual sayings to see if there is any truth in the phrases.
And it seems that you can laugh someone into bed after all.
The findings disclosed that nine out of ten say a sense of humour is a big factor when choosing a lover.
While a quarter of women admitted they would strip off with a man who is funny - even if they aren't attracted to his appearance.
With people having so many dating options thanks to the internet, the temptation to judge a person on every detail could be tempting.
But the survey findings suggest it could be a mistake to judge a potential partner's prowess in bed by their moves on the dance floor.
Three-quarters of women and 63 per cent of men say their best lover was a terrible dancer.
So if dancing moves don't turn you on, what about the bank balance?
If you aren't swayed by money when looking for a potential partner, it seems you aren't alone.
More than six out of ten of us say income is irrelevant, though a third admit it is a factor but not a deal-breaker.
Only four per cent of those surveyed say wealth is the ultimate turn-on and that money can buy you love.
Have you ever heard references to quiet people being the most naughty or sexually insatiable?
Well, it seems that most people think quiet individuals switch into an expressive and playful creature in the bedroom.
More than a third of people say this is the case most of the time, while just over half reckon it is true just some of the time.
And only nine per cent say quiet people are also shy in the bedroom.
Most of IllicitEncounters.com's male members are white collar professionals earning an average of £54,000 a year.
According to the company, women on the site cheat more than men - enjoying three clandestine dates a month, compared to men's two.
