Prankster uses Snapchat filter to convince mum that he’s seriously ill, and her reaction is priceless

THIS is the hilarious text exchange which saw a prankster convince his mother that he was seriously ill - just by using a Snapchat filter.
, 20, from Quilty in County Clare, Ireland, sent his mum an alarming selfie, in which he has enormous bug eyes and an oddly shaped chin.
However, all was not as it seemed - since he had used a filter on Snapchat to fiddle with his facial features and leave him looking like something was seriously wrong.
But, unfortunately for her, the lad's poor mum had no idea that he was winding her up, prompting a serious overreaction to the silly snap.

Patrick teed up the prank by texting his mum saying he had an allergic reaction, blaming some left-over dairy for his illness.
He said: "Mam I think I had an allergic reaction to the cheese you left in the fridge earlier," followed by a couple of panicked emojis.
His mum responds by quizzing how he knows what's wrong, prompting him to reply: "My eyes are really sore."
He follows his claim up by sending the swollen selfie, in which his face is seriously warped by the comical filter.
And his poor mother takes the bait, saying: "Oh my god Patrick.
"Will I ring the Shannon doc? He's the only one on at this time of night. I'm in Spanish Point I will be home in 5 minutes"
Things only get worse for the poor mum though, as Patrick continues to wind her up by complaining that his eyes hurt and that his chin is sore.
The comical screenshots show how Patrick's poor mum started to worry that her lad had Palsy, a paralysing condition which causes muscle weakness.
The mortified mother says: "God Patrick hope you're not getting Palsy. My mother had it years ago."
"Hold on I'm on way to drive you to Shannon doc. God love you."
Patrick, who works as a swimming instructor, said this was the point when he realised that he should probably come clean about his filtered face.
He said: "I phoned her after that to tell her the truth before she crashed the car trying to race home!
"She didn't say anything on the phone for a second but eventually she just started laughing.
"She will get an awful shock when she sees this, I'll have to text her again!"
This isn't even the first time that a prankster has used a funny filter to trick their parents into thinking that they're ill.
Last week, a girl convinced her mum that her head had turned square, prompting her mother to worry that she'd suffered from an allergic reaction to salmon paste.
The exchange, which has to be seen to be believed, was shared all over the internet by delighted viewers, who couldn't believe that the ridiculous filter had been so convincing.
