HAVE you ever grabbed a takeaway coffee and thought your cup felt a little light?
We ran a check on five retailers after it emerged Starbucks is being sued in the US over claims it puts less coffee than advertised in lattes.
We got takeaway lattes at Costa, Starbucks, Pret A Manger, Caffe Nero and Upper Crust and were sold short by FOUR of the five outlets.
The worst put in nine per cent less coffee than it should.

COSTA COFFEE
CUP SIZE: 16oz CONTENT: 15oz % LOST: 6 Regular (medio), £2.55
A spokesman said: “We never fill to the brim, allowing a 1cm gap for safety. Our baristas are always happy to remake a drink.”
STARBUCKS
CUP SIZE: 16oz CONTENT: 14.5oz %LOST: 9 Regular (Grande), £2.70
A spokesman said: “Our drinks are all handmade so there may be small variances. We promise if your drink isn’t right, we’ll make it again.”
