This monster spider filmed climbing up a man’s wall is caught in his bare hands … and it’s too big to fit in them

A giant critter with an span of over six inches is bigger than the man's palms

The eight-legged creepy crawly filmed crawling up this man’s wall is like something out of a horror movie.

The big, black beast – with a span of over six inches – has a fat body and thick hairy legs.

The brave guy climbs on a chair to catch it with his BARE HANDS – and the giant creature is so big its wriggling legs hang over the side of his palms.

The battle of man and beast was caught on camera in Portugal.

It was posted on Facebook with the caption: “How to capture a giant spider without having to kill her.”

People watching were totally creeped out by the giant creepy crawly.

Flávia C. B. Dornelles wrote: “If there was a spider that size in my house, I would leave with the clothes on my back and not come back ever again.”

But UK arachnophobes can comfort themselves with the fact that the monster critter is a long way away, in Portugal.

It may well be an exotic pet, as the man is seen carefully placing it in a large newspaper-lined container after catching it.

The video comes days after a family in Essex revealed their home had been overrun with venomous false widow spiders.

The 50p-sized critters are the most lethal of the UK’s 12 species and have in the past left victims fighting for their lives.

Parents have been warned not to let their children touch the spiders as they may bite, and can trigger allergic reactions causing chest pain, swelling and nausea.
