If you’ve ever considered brushing up on your picture-taking skills, look no further than these entries for this year’s for motivation.

Competition hopefuls were asked to submit images that “tell the story of a place”, or capture how the photographer is inspired by when travelling.

The broad brief has allowed some breath-taking snaps to be entered into this year’s contest.
