The little girl from Spy Kids looks a lot different now… and she’s PREGNANT
IT’S been over 14 years since family favourite Spy Kids first hit the big screens… so it’s safe to say that the woman who played young Carmen Cortez looks a look different now.
Talented child star Alexa Vega starred in the Hollywood hit at the tender age of 12.
In 2001, Alexa played the role of a secret agent that helped to save her parents from the clutches of danger.
Not many people know that Alexa even contributed to the soundtracks of the popular film franchise.
When Spy Kids 2 was released, she released her debut single Isle of Dreams.
In preparation for the third film, she recorded two songs, Game Over and Heart Drive.
As it stands, the huge blockbuster has grossed over £110 million worldwide and made an impressive profit of £26 million.
Following her role in Spy Kids, Alexa has taken up acting roles in over 60 more TV series’ and films.
In 2015, Alexa featured in an episode of popular crime drama The Mentalist.
In the same year, she also contributed towards seven episodes of Nashville, a well-known American drama.

If 2015 wasn’t a busy enough year for Alexa, she also appearing on the 21st series of American TV competition Dancing with the Stars.
Alexa was paired with professional dancer Mark Ballas and the pair finished the contest in 6th place.
Even though Alexa hasn’t changed her career path, she looks completely different to the sweet little girl from Spy Kids.
The actress and singer is married to Carlos PenaVenga, a famous Nickelodeon actor.
On Instagram, the pair often shared loved-up photos of themselves on cruises and luxury trips abroad.
Just last month, delighted Alexa took to social media to announce that she is expecting a baby.
The excited mum-to-be said: “I cannot believe I finally get to say this… WE’RE PREGNANT.
“It’s #ClearBlueConfirmed that a little blessing is joining the PenaVega family. We cant’ wait!!!”
