What a blooper

Think you know everything there is to know about Friends? Time to think again…

An eagle-eyed fan has spotted something pretty amazing about this scene involving Ross and Joey

IT might have finished over a decade ago, but Friends will always have a special place in our hearts.

Friday nights just weren't the same after Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey pottered off into the distance... but at least we have the reruns to keep us entertained.

The good thing about watching repeats is that you tend to notice things you haven't seen before, which is how this little chestnut cropped up.

Friends fan Aaoun was so excited by something in series 4 episode 22, The One with The Worst Best Man Ever, they immediately to share it.

This is the episode where Joey, Ross and Chandler think a stripper has stolen the ring Ross planned to give to Emily at their wedding.

Part way through, Chandler and the guys get the stripper to come to his office so they can confront her.

Cue much hilarity as she has no idea what they are talking about (seasoned fans will recall it was actually the duck who did it, breaking into Joey's room and swallowing the band).

Anyway, that's not what's important.

And not so much...Credit: Vine

What we're interested in is Joey, played by Matt LeBlanc.

Apparently fans aren't the only ones to be ticked by David Schwimmer's hilarious portrayal of stressed out Ross, Matt found it pretty funny too. Here's the proof:

Yep, that's Matt doing his best to stifle his giggles so he doesn't mess up the scene.

And by 'doing his best' we obviously mean covering his mouth and laughing a lot while crouching down behind his co-star.

Pretty amazing, no?

OH BUMMER!
The internet is making fun of this woman’s colourful summer dress… but can you see why?

So, now to look at why we've never noticed this before...

Well, sorry but it's not that exciting.

The likely explanation is that since Friends first hit screens the aspect ratio has changed from 4:3 to 16:9.

explains this means the picture is now wider, and so we get to see bits of the set which were hidden before.

So when this Friends episode first aired we wouldn't have seen Matt breaking into giggles, but thanks to the genius of technology it's now there in glorious technicolor.
